Two weeks today since we got to experience the most amazing, beautiful and artistic stay with Radisson Collection Edinburgh .
On our arrival I was greeted by the reception staff who checked us in smoothly & very professionally. She then informed me that we were upgraded to one of the designer rooms, The Garden Paradise Suite.
I was offered a Gin on arrival, which is part of the experience when you arrive, however due to being pregnant I kindly declined and opted for a lemonade.
I really love small and personal touches like this on arrival!
I was taken to our room by a lovely gentleman dressed in a kilt - don’t you just love the Scottish ways & a man in a kilt?
It was all very relaxed and amazing so when I arrived in the room I didn’t really take anything in until I saw how exquisite the suite was with the most amazing views of Edinburgh.
Each room is designed to use as much natural light, so you can enjoy incredible views of the city at your own comfort.
The gorgeous and talented designer of the Garden Paradise Suite at Radisson Collection is Hatti Pattisson who has created elegant, colourful patterns throughout.
Stunning wall designs, interiors & lighting flooded the generous space with beautiful pinks, greens & blues giving a feeling of calm.
We loved it!
The designer suite, along with 2 others in the collection can be enjoyed with a full mini bar, room extras, mobile travel phone, WiFi & coffee machines to help your stay be the best home away from home & much more!

*Each room is beautiful with high attention to detail, elegant bathrooms and touches for your best possible stay*
I fully recommend staying with Radisson Collection for any reason, romantic, girls trip, honeymoon, special treat or just because. They have rooms & suites to accommodate with an abundance of extras, helpful staff to give/book recommendations around the city & trying the homemade treats in the reception is a must!
In Edinburgh you will find Radisson Blu & Radisson Collection where they both hold fantastic ratings & reviews.
Each in their own right, so different but both absolutely lovely & professional, however not without that personal & friendly feeling which in my opinion is exactly what makes a hotel.
With over 16 years in hospitality I love finding hotels with great customer service, that friendly experience we all love but carrying the reputation of the hotel brand highly, fantastic food & comfortable beds!
It was a pleasure to meet a lot of the staff at Radisson Collection Edinburgh, they’re all wonderful & very knowledgeable about the city, the brand & what’s going on in the hotel.
It’s definitely a place you can feel safe, secure and relaxed!
My favourite physical part about the hotel was the amazing safety of the guests.
By fitting smart lifts, you as a guest can enter any floor with you’re key card however if you’re not a guest you won’t be able to reach any of the floors where guests are living!
This is absolutely fantastic & such a great security detail to have!
I actually think ALL Hotels should have this, I mean how many times have you visited a hotel and got lost, gone for a wander and ended up in the guest areas?
Many, many times!!
Peace of mind can be had, adding to a relaxing stay, that’s for sure. Well done Radisson!!
Great attention to detail was had in every area of the hotel and I must say the large bath in our room was out of this world amazing!
I’ve put together some photos of the suite and public areas for you to flick through and enjoy!
After enjoying the suite & the incredible views, (which Chris loved as he’s a structural engineer, he was in his element seeing buildings from the views we had)
we got ready for dinner, which was the most personal & perfect experience you could of asked for.
Dinner was held in Andrew McQueen’s exquisite Italian restaurant Cucina, Italian for kitchen.
We were taken to a lovely table that was all set for us, waiters introduced themselves, we were given the restaurant information, & menus to look over while our drinks arrived.
There was definitely no sense of rush or impatience. It was calm, relaxing and you really felt like your waiter was all yours.
We ordered a starter, main & desert each from the new winter menu which was creative, beautiful & every mouthful was just perfect. The flavours and textures used on each plate was just right.
Wonderful thought out creations with their own personal touches, where Scottish meets Italian. What more could you ask for?
The atmosphere of Cucina is very romantic, with well placed lighting to create that personal dining experience you feel like it’s just you there. The tables are the right distance apart, they’re not too close together so you can enjoy yourself properly.
The design is very beautiful with reds, pinks & creams making you feel a sense of warmth from the restaurant.
We had our own semelliar who matched our wine with what we’d chosen from the menu.
The pairing was fantastic! I enjoyed a glass of the most beautiful white wine while actually having the time to talk and engage in each other’s day.
As busy parents it’s nice to give yourself that YOU time, time together to enjoy each other & respect that you do need time to connect with one another.
Never have we felt more at ease and looked after!
Cucina is definitely a restaurant with style & taste but not forgetting the element that carries throughout the hotel, that friendly, welcoming feeling which stands out at Collection.
Breakfast was incredible, with continental options all set out on a banquet table & a menu to order hot food from (if breakfast is inc). There was so much choice you could quite easily have the most relaxing morning ever. It was great to see Cucina in a different light and enjoy the views around the restaurant, absolutely gorgeous!
We’ll be back without a doubt & I’ve already recommend the hotels to many of you asking about great places to stay for birthdays, upcoming Edinburgh Christmas Markets & Hogmanay.
Many of you have already enjoyed the hotels famous Epicurean bar & the perfect bathroom mirror.
One of the best places in Edinburgh for cocktails & Vegan afternoon teas. I can highly recommend the virgin espresso martini!
Edinburgh is a very beautiful & historic city with many, many things to see & do. There’s always a fantastic restaurant close by so don’t be afraid to ask where the best place is for what you’re looking for.
I’m always more than happy to help, like I’ve done for others, if you’re not sure with all the choice, tell me what you’d like to do, what’s your preference and let’s get you visiting Edinburgh!
Enjoy & Get booking!
