Spooky Going’s on at Blair Drummond Safari Park

Are you ready for Halloween? How about HALLOWILD

This year head down to Blair Drummond Safari Park and experience a fantastic and spooky day out with the family.

Brave the fright rooms as you try to find Alice but only enter if you’re brave enough......

(NOT suitable for everyone)

Take up some activities in the spooky tent while making teddy bears, eating candy floss, making slime, doing some stone art and seeing some giant land snails!

Head over to Farmer Chris’s Pumpkin Patch and pick a pumpkin for carving or decorating and keep an eye out for all the Spider Bales around the Park.

Can you spot them all?

Hallowild is on from 13-28th October so you’ve still got a week to head down!

We were kindly invited to head along last week and see if we could stand up to the scare!

I managed it but Chris and Cailyn waited on me outside the fright tent while I looked for Alice.

The fright rooms were designed by Steve Hardie who is a Hollywood designer involved in hits such as Hellraiser & Buddy the Vampire Slayer.

The rooms are run by Scare Scotland and I must say the actors are fantastic.

So much detail has gone into each room it’s amazing. I went back in to capture these shots from some of the rooms, I've left a lot out as requested to keep some rooms a secret!

Cailyn loved drawing on her hallowild stones which we’re keeping but follow the instructions and you may be able to see how far your stone travels......will you leave a stone for someone else to find?

Teddy mountain was left up to me, she did help (a little) however I had so much fun stuffing Blair, our bunny. Get it Blair from Blair Drummond!

I must say I can’t take credit for the name as JoJo did came up with the name for one of her kids teddy’s but.... I managed to nab the name as the kids used other names they chose themself. Cailyn was screaming her head off to get back to painting more stones so it was a quick but cute decision, well done JoJo x

After having lots of fun at Hallowild we explored the park. I’ve never been before so it was great to do this as a family.

We absolutely loved the Giraffes and the Sea lion show. Warm donuts and coffee were still being served so we grabbed the last bag and sat down together and enjoyed it before heading home.

The whole day was amazing and Cailyn was in her element.

We can’t wait to go back as we missed a few things we’d love to see.

(Scroll through below to see some photos of the above)

On a good weather day I’d totally recommend taking bbq food or a picnic as there’s so many spots around the park to stop for food.

The bbq area looks great and it’s right opposite the massive play area so that’s great for older kids to run around alone while you relax. I’d recommend staying with the kids if they’re younger though as it gets really busy. There’s a few tables closer to the park if you wanted to sit there while they play.

I hope you make it along for Hallowild and experience the fun, spooky times together!

It’s a GREAT day out!

Cailyn’s Mummy x
