Breakfast with Santa

December 3, 2017

The Bridge Inn is set in the beautiful village of Ratho right on the canal - you can stay over night, book a trip along the canal, eat and drink untill your belly’s full.

Today we visited for Breakfast with Santa and it was incredible. We were greeted by a lovely elf who kindly asked for our names and took us to our seat.

We were then served tea and coffee, juice for Cailyn. Breakfast was already pre ordered so it was all underway. The Scottish breakfast was just perfect. We had nothing bad to say about the cooking at all. The pancakes where just as delicious not to mention huge! So a massive well done to The Kitchen Team!

Cailyn was given a Christmas letter to fill out by the elves so that Santa could get a heads up on some of her Christmas wishes.

I thought this was a really nice touch and a good way for the kids to really feel like Santa was wanting to know all about them.

*obviously Cailyn is just under 1 so I filled hers out but she did do a little scribble*

After we ate the jingle bells of Santa’s arrival could be heard. The kids loved this, it was so nice to see so many lovely families all together and the kids having such a magical time. Cailyn is still not to sure on the big man himself however she loved walking around seeing the other children and laughing away as she does.

Santa came around and sat on his chair then asked the kids to gather round, he told a tale then one by one all the littles got given a present with the help on an elf.

I love how it was a book - such a nice change to toys or sweets!

It really was something special to see Cailyn and all the other kids get so exited.

Such a great feeling as a new mummy!

If you’re looking for a nice family morning with some Christmas cheer then I’d definitely recommend booking. We will be back to eat from the normal menu in the new year as it’s just stunning! The canals are beautiful and I feel The Bridge Inn would be the perfect spot in the summer. There is gardens to sit and enjoy a drink (or three) and dogs are welcome - always good to know.

So a massive well done to Mr & Mrs Bucknall and The whole team for a wonderful Christmasy morning - A beautiful one at that!
